Life can throw up all sorts of difficulties and even day-to-day life, both at home and at work, can be stressful.  We offer many types of support for a variety of issues, ranging from general stress to low self-esteem and anxiety. 

Low Mood

Many people experience difficulties with feeling low or depressed, feeling more tired than usual, or have difficulty finding the motivation to do things. They may also experience less pleasure from some of the things previously enjoyed. Feelings like these can be very difficult to manage, so whether you have experienced difficulties with these feelings in the past, or if it is the first time, we have a wide range of support available that can help. Panic, Anxiety and Worry

Feelings of panic, anxiety or worry can be very frightening and difficult to manage. People can experience these feelings in a number of different ways and for many different reasons. Some people might avoid certain objects or situations, feel strong urges to double-check things, or feel distressed by thoughts that come to mind. We have a wide range of support available for people who experience any of these difficulties, whether you know what causes you to feel anxious, or if it just comes out of the blue. Strong Emotions

Many of the emotions and feelings that people experience can be very powerful and seem impossible to deal with. Whether it is difficulties with managing anger, anxiety, relationship breakdowns, grief or other strong emotions, we have a wide range of psycho-educational courses and other types of support that can help. Physical Health

Medical support can go a long way to help in managing long-term health conditions, but there will often be a strong emotional struggle that people feel they need help with. We run a wide range of psycho-educational courses that will aim to help people manage a number of different long-term health conditions, ranging from Coronary Heart Disease to Chronic Pain. Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia can be a confusing and difficult diagnosis for people to understand. This course aims to help people understand more about it, including the things that can make it worse. Chronic Pain

People can experience Chronic Pain for many reasons and it can be very challenging to manage. We run courses that aim to help people understand more about long-term pain, including some of the things that can make it worse. Diabetes

Both Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes can be difficult conditions to manage. We run courses for both these conditions, which aim to help people understand more about their condition, including some common traps that people can fall into when living with it. Fatigue

Many health conditions can cause fatigue. This course aims to help you understand fatigue, including the things that make it worse, and to learn some techniques to manage it. Coronary Heart Disease

This course is for people living with a cardiac condition (including people who have had a heart attack, angina, heart surgery, and heart failure). It will teach skills and techniques to adjust and better cope emotionally. This is based on a psychological approach called Cognitive Behavioural Theory (CBT), which has been shown to be helpful for many people with cardiac problems. COPD

Dealing with breathlessness can be stressful and frustrating. This free course for people with COPD helps understand the things that can make it better and worse. It looks at ways to manage breathlessness and cope with the common difficult thoughts and feelings that can go with it. Lifestyle Changes

Managing excess weight and making lifestyle changes can be very difficult, even at the best of times. We run courses aimed at helping people feel more motivated to make changes and to learn techniques to help overcome some of the common difficulties associated with weight loss.
